Re: NA dipped custom copper

The door handles make it look like a cheap paint job. I would go with black if you don't like the chrome. I'm also not a huge fan of the black rims but I know they are very popular, so I'm not going...

Re: 1.8 in an NA6 overheating... *sigh*

Make sure you bleed the system properly. I noticed that the hose going to the heater core can trap some air if you have removed the engine. Fill up the system the normal way, then remove coolant hose...

Re: Raceland Ultimo

I hate when they do that... you will need to replace the rear springs with something around 300-350 lbs/inch to make thing work right.

Re: NA Transmission Issues: Can't get gears, clutch less responsive

It's the slave and it's probably leaking and out of brake fluid.
1) refill the reservoir with brake fluid ASAP (this is the tiny one close to the firewall at the driver's side)
2) change the slave...

Re: third world NB6 build

It's quite interesting buying a miata in a place that is considered an "expensive" car, because people get in the trouble of repairing it (typically half ass) even after a major crash - you never see...

It won't be the easiest course to memorize but enormous fun with a lot of interesting cars coming from neighbor states. You should come!

Re: RSpeed: Dropping the ball

Are we sure it's the same Rspeed? The OP thinks that it's in Florida - maybe he is talking about another company?
I also fail to fully comprehent the complaint - is it that they don't offer free...

Re: 1996 Saab 9000 Aero - "New" DD

I love this car, I used to have one and pretty often I miss it and look at the classifieds for another one.
My ideal 9000 would actually be in imola red, with 5 speed like your's and definatelly not...

Re: Tan interior

^ What he said.
96 carpet pile and color is different (I personalyl like the 90-95 better).
Be careful since the 94-95 and 90-93 carpets are not interchangable since the ECU and the harness are in...

Please do yourself a huge favor and talk to Emilio from 949 racing - he has tons of knowledge. We spent almost 30min on the phone when I was ready to go to that route. There are many things that I...

Re: OTS 12:1 to 13:1 pistons

Apparently that won't give you too much increase - when I was looking into building a NA stroker I went though some calculations and shaving the head could only help for ~0.2:1 increase or somewhere...

Re: OTS 12:1 to 13:1 pistons

Why not even higher ? I think you should be able to go to 14:1 or even a bit higher compression with E85.
FM can send you any compression pistons you want (not sure if you have to wait 4-5 weeks) -...

Re: Picture and info request. 17" wheels

So what kind of tires are you thinking of getting?
Probably the best for you would be toyo r1r 245/35-17 all around or with 275/40-17 at the back.

I'm thinking along these lines for myself since...

Re: 4x100 to 4x114.3 adapters: Your thoughts?

I used to have a Saab 9000 Aero (2.3 Turbo) where I had installed 25mm spacers (which are similar to what you are talking about since the spacers had their own new studs). I had them for 2-3 years...

Re: Dope Sh*tzzz!

Not sure if this was ever posted, I saw it today and looked very interesting.

It's a once-off built 1954 Mercedes-Benz "Blue Wonder" truck that was used to transport F1 cars.
