I'm up in Bivins. That's between Longview and Texarkana. Plenty of fun backroads but can't find many roadster enthusiasts.

Willis, north of Conroe, but hang out in College Station during the week for school.
I've met a few of the locals, but family, school and work keep me from making meets and such. |

we should ... houston miata club has a meeting once a month, but i'm not too keen on paying dues to hang out.
think of some places that'd be meet friendly ... easily accessible - preferably where i don't need to take a tollway ... anything along on one of the major freeways - 45, 59, i10 freebirds off taylor & i10 would be great i think. |

regardless, i'd still like to see a nice big Houston-area Miata get-together. i made a thread to gauge interest in a december mini-meet, but so far it doesn't seem to be panning out. (although that is not a big surprise since most people are pretty busy this time of year.) |

I'm not a huge fan of GGP, generally speaking (it seems like there's a perpetual sand-and-grit storm out there), or of that sort of car show, but I'd probably be down if enough Miata crew were planning to show up.

I'm definitally going, and bringing a friend with a show truck/daily. They wouldnt let me drift because they consider the hard dog hard bar a "style bar"

absolutely...
They said it offers NO protection from rollovers. So i sent the sponser like 8 pictures of flipped miata's with the hard bar installed. He still said no. Oh well...When i have $600 bucks to dish out for a "real" roll bar, i'll get right on that |

If it's one of their two-point bars, yeah, I can see them rejecting it, I guess. But it's still engineered to protect you, and a a damn sight better than any "style bar." Lame.

it's just the hard bar...Still mounts at 4pts though. 1 at each reel, and one at the towers.
