man after you get decent suspension I'd reccomend getting this as the next mod....it's no points under current MC rules and once set up right it's just bitchin....first shifts if the cars not warm are a little less willing than normal but after it warms up and the cars in motion the car's an absolute dream

and emilio didn't lie, the car likes to rev like a bike now with the twindisk

next big plan is a custom megasquirt and dyno tune from NEV

plans before the 21st:
MSM intake cam
fidanza exhaust camgear
light weight pulley set (if I can find one)
timing belt & waterpump
throw on MSM front end

realistically I think I may pass on the pulley set though

I've heard lots of issues(mainly longevity) with the spec clutches. I'd research them very carefully. I was considering that aluminum PP and a "2+" disc with an XTD or F1 fywheel but found a few threads on other sites about there clutches wearing out in only a few thousand miles. also there tech support SUCKS! I tried calling to find out how much lighter the aluminum preassure plate is compared to the regular one for a 1.6L app(wanted to reduce weight/mass as much as possible) all they could tell me is "oh about 2-4 lbs depending on the application"

plans sound pretty good

not sure if I wanna keep the 16" regas or sell them to get some light 15" wheels...thinking ce28, te37 or racing hart cp-035 or the 15x9 6uls in black or nickel....good 16" tire sizes are available from toyo but they're more expensive than a comparable width 15" tire of the same diameter which is counter intuitive since it should be less material for the 16" tires

So I finally picked up my new (at least to me anyway) daily driver. It's a '96 Honda Accord EX with 148K miles which was originally selling for $2800. I got it down to $2300, and so I bought it. The motor runs great except for a couple of dents (if you wanna call 'em that).
The seller stated that it was his grandma's car and he inherited it and he's been driving it around for a year and decided to sell it...

This is where the story turns sour, I was browsing around Craigslist today and saw this ad: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...583094781.html
It's the same damn car that I just bought today. She's only asking $1900!!! I'm thinking the grandma made this ad first then the grandson whom I bought the car from made another ad (which is the ad that I saw) in the hopes of making more money out of it...well in short the fucker made $400 out of me! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!

Now I'm kinda mad at myself for not being thorough with my search on Craigslist...Oh well it's too late to return it now. FUCK!

well in fairness it runs really good...motor purrs and no strange noises and tranny shifts smooth...hopefully it'll last me for a while. I was really gunna buy my buddy's C280 Sport benz but decided to buy a cheaper car and just just keep on saving my money...Hopefully, buying this Accord won't bite me in the ass later on...

Hey Socal,
I am gonna have a buddy pick my 94M from the hangar and wanted to have this repaired before I get home ... What shop does good work and is reasonably priced?

If not priced right I will just do it myself when I get home...

I think one of those smaller Mercades, like a 230 sport would be fun with a manual transmission. Especially the kompressor.

a part of me wants to get Megans and slam the shit out of my car and put my 2 Roders back on. The other part thinks i should buy GC sleeves and slap em on the crappy GR2s so i can learn to drive on flubber suspension. Damn flexes spoiling me early...

anyone have a set of GC sleeves they want to get rid of?

^^This is the 2.5 16v Euro version that never made it here.
The US got the 2.3 16v version with mild flares and smaller wing...my buddy has 2 of them, one with ITB's and MS

Jay, the 190 E is a W201. the 300E/400E/500E was the W124.

A nice 2.3 -16 is alot of money for what is really quite slow.

Jeff, don't put GC on those GR2's, the springs you have now are hard enough on them. Leave the suspension as is for now, and just drive the car.
